Oriental culture sees the human body as an orbit of nature.
The world and humankind are interlinked. Similarly, I want to discourse on the principle and order of nature’s symbiosis and coexistence through the growth environment of medicinal herbs used traditionally and how the growing environment of plants has a knock-on effect on the human body.
Like American Indians, we have used medicinal herbs from mountains and fields to cure illness and have relied on nature. As shown from Chilsun valley’s case in Jiri Mountain, I think the recovery of aboriginality and preservation of mankind and life means minimizing human intervention and respecting plants’ inertia towards the aboriginal state.
Jiri Mountain is also known as a mother mountain of Korea, which has the last remaining virgin forest in Korea. Since ancient times, herbs with good medicinal properties have been produced the most from this area, and even up to this day, over a thousand different kinds of medicinal plants are inhabited.
Our garden is intended to partially reproduce the medicinal herb habitat in the eastern direction of Jiri Mountain in Korea.
